Alpha Marketing International operates this store for The National Ballet of Canada. This notice explains what personal information we collect when you shop here, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, shipping address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. When you create an account we also keep your password in a hashed form that we cannot read.

We never see or store your card number. Payment happens on Stripe's own checkout page, and Stripe returns only the card brand, the last four digits, and whether the payment succeeded.

We keep a record of the emails we send you about an order and whether they were delivered, so we can tell when something did not reach you.

Why we collect it

To take your order, make it, ship it, and answer you when you write to us. To meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. To detect and prevent fraud.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to advertise to you elsewhere.

Who else handles it

  • Stripe processes payments and calculates tax. Stripe is a payment processor in the United States and Ireland, and holds your billing address and card details under its own privacy policy.
  • Resend sends the emails about your order.
  • Amazon Web Services stores the product images and files this site serves.
  • MongoDB Atlas stores the store's database.
  • Vercel hosts the site.

Some of these providers store or process data outside Canada, which means it may be accessible to the courts and law enforcement of those countries. We choose providers that commit to protecting it and we share only what the job needs.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for seven years, which is what Canadian tax law requires. If you close your account we remove your login and contact details but keep the order records, with your name on them, for that period.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep. Write to [Privacy officer name] at [privacy officer email] and we will answer within thirty days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Cookies

This site sets a cookie to keep you signed in and remembers your cart in your browser's own storage. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we use your information will be announced on the site before they take effect.
