Accessibility

Last updated September 27, 2026

Alpha Marketing International is committed to making this store usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion.

The standard we aim for

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requires WCAG 2.0 Level AA for public websites, and 2.2 is the current version of that standard, so meeting it satisfies the AODA requirement and then some.

What we have done

  • Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, from browsing to paying, with a visible focus outline at every step.
  • A "Skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard or screen reader reaches on every page.
  • Text meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background, and interface controls meet 3:1.
  • Every image that carries meaning has alternative text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Form fields have labels, and errors are announced, not only coloured.
  • Headings describe the structure of each page, and there is exactly one level-one heading per page.
  • Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
  • Animation respects your system's "reduce motion" setting.
  • The page language is declared, so a screen reader pronounces English and French correctly.

Where we know we fall short

We keep this list honest and update it as we fix things.

  • Product photography is being added over time; some products currently show a placeholder frame rather than a photograph.
  • Colour and size options are described by name rather than by a colour swatch alone, but the swatches themselves are not yet individually labelled with their colour values.
  • We have tested with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS and with keyboard navigation. We have not yet completed testing with JAWS or NVDA on Windows.

Third-party pages

Payment happens on Stripe's own checkout page, which we do not control. Stripe publishes its own accessibility information.
